Baddha Konasana or Bound Angle Pose

1. Baddha Konasana / Bound Angle Pose

baddha = bound
kona = angle

Baddha Konasana is a pose that opens up the hips by stretching the adductor muscles as well as the sacral muscles. It stretches the inner thighs, groin and the knees. A consistent practices helps develop a good posture as it works on the spine when done with proper support as a beginner of yoga.  It stimulates heart functions and blood circulations. Children love it as it is also their very well loved butterfly pose. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, you can do this pose as there are modifications for this pose at all levels of yoga  in all Wellness Haven Yoga Classes held at San Ramon location.
